CONTEXT
On our smartphones, tablets, and other devices, a multitude of To-Do List or task list applications are available. However, despite this diversity, it's hard to find an app offering simple functionalities without being overwhelmed by superfluous options. With the exception of Apple's Reminders app, which provides a streamlined interface for those who prefer simplicity over detailed lists. Sometimes, it's necessary to go back to basics and prioritize simplicity for effective organization.
BRIEF
After assessing the situation, the Simplist brand approached us to create its visual identity, ranging from its logo to its graphic charter, and then to design their To-Do List application. This application serves as their solution to the previously identified challenges.
Identity
The Simplist identity reflects the core values of the brand: simplicity, purity, and focus on the essential. Accordingly, we crafted a clean logo that symbolizes the addition of tasks to be done, a fundamental concept of the application. This simplicity is also reflected in the typography, chosen for its readability and polished aesthetic. As for the colors, we chose a subdued palette, in perfect harmony with the minimalist philosophy of the brand.
In addition to this minimalist base, we offer users of the application the option to customize it. This feature is highly valued by users as it allows them to quickly make the application their own. Thus, we have added the possibility to change the application's theme by selecting a single color. Once this color is chosen, the interface adjusts to best suit the user's preferences.
UI/UX DESIGN
Let's finally talk about the Simplist interface. It is available on smartphones, tablets, and even on your smartwatch (with a desktop version being considered for the future). In line with the brand's visual identity, it aims to be very readable and streamlined, focusing directly on the essentials of our needs when using it. Thus, we have dispensed with outlines or box fillings, while maintaining an organized structure. The application allows adding lists in which we simply add tasks to be done.
